Objective
Sprouts is a fictional produce market I created and branded. It is intended to be an extension of 826 National, a nonprofit organization that teaches literacy to youths in the United States. Every 826 building has a storefront unique to its community, so I made Sprouts unique to Creston, a neighborhood in Grand Rapids, MI.

Process
For my first step, I did extensive research on Creston, and I interviewed a Creston Librarian as a primary source of information. From this research, I decided I wanted the store to be both professional and welcoming to children. To accomplish this, I used a youthful, earth-toned color palette and fun typefaces.

Takeaway
Sprouts was a big undertaking, and I learned a lot about how to approach the creative process. Personally, I gained a lot from the research phase, but I also learned how important it is to allow myself more time for problem-solving when making the final product.
