Objective
Congrats! You found my senior thesis. Here, I decided to create a book on how to write fantasy. I am a huge fan of the genre, so this guide was a big passion project for me. It spans 87 pages, and it comes with a companion pack of writing prompts.

Process
To start, I researched writing advice from professional authors, and then I collected passages from my favorite books to be used as examples. When I was done, I wrote the whole book and sent it to be peer reviewed.
I designed my book to be medieval themed—but with a modern twist. To make it fun, I used vibrant colors and typefaces. To add my personal opinions, I adjusted the grid to allow for side notes. All the illustrations are compiled, and I added the color blocks.

Takeaway
Making this book was a wonderful experience! I got to practice making my own schedule and pacing myself, and I sharpened my publishing skills. Little details like the cut-out cover and spine-width had to be taken into careful consideration when sending the book to print. I am also happy I had this opportunity to showcase my copywriting skills.
