Objective

This collection of compositions is an exploration of Dadaism and spontaneity through collages. I used a restricted timeframe (about 5-15 minutes) in the production of each piece to foster creativity and increase productivity.

Process

While making each piece, I aimed to explore as many design techniques as possible. I experimented with typography, juxtaposition, focal points, repetition, symmetry, and more.

However, I often got caught up in the details and wanted to spend time perfecting each piece. I remedied this issue by setting timers and cutting out my assets in advance, so I didn’t have to worry about being prepared or losing track of time.

Takeaway

This project was a great challenge because it taught me that progress is made by moving forward—not by constantly revising every detail of your work. When I moved faster and made more pieces, I was also making more designs that I loved.
